Not-Your-Typical Jelly Roll Quilts Trunk Show

Explore the designs from Michelle's book Not-Your-Typical Jelly Roll Quilts. She uses a variety of shapes to create this collection of 14 patterns that range in size from wall hangings to bed-size quilts. Some of the projects feature more modern, geometric blocks; others transform jelly rolls into novelty blocks like rainbows, whales, and cats. This presentation will leave you wanting to dust off the jelly rolls in your own stash and transform them into beautiful, finished projects!

Approximately 1 hour, with a Q&A session: $350

Myriad Workshop

In this 6-hour class, participants will use a strip-set technique to sew a generously sized throw with a striking secondary star pattern. Requiring just one full jelly roll and a background fabric, this project comes together quickly and easily. The workshop covers sewing strip sets, cutting half-hexies, and getting perfect points.

Students will leave class with an understanding of how to finish the quilt top at home.

This class follows a pattern from Michelle's book, Not-Your-Typical Jelly Roll Quilts. Each participant is required to have a copy of the book, which can be purchased from Michelle or from various online retailers and quilt shops.

Michelle will provide a video to view before the workshop that addresses fabric selection and using 60-degree rulers in lieu of the template provided in the book.

Skill level: Confident beginners and above

6-hour class: $600

Five Little Ghosts Workshop

In this 3-hour class, students will make their own Five Little Ghosts table runner. The workshop will cover piecing the quilt top as well as embellishing it with some simple embroidery and how to plan the quilting design.

Students who do not finish piecing their quilt top by the class’s end can easily complete it at home.

This class uses Michelle's book, Not-Your-Typical Jelly Roll Quilts. Each participant is required to have a copy of the book, which can be purchased from Michelle or from various online retailers and quilt shops.
