What's better than a project that features 5 sweet and silly ghosts? A throw quilt that features 20 of them!
The original Five Little Ghosts is a runner-size project that appears in Michelle's book, Not-Your-Typical Jelly Roll Quilts. Five Little Ghosts and Friends is a supplement to that pattern. It uses jelly roll strips and fat quarters to create a patchwork of cute ghouls, perfect for your Halloween decor.
Please note: To sew the throw-size quilt with this pattern expansion PDF, you will need a copy of Not-Your-Typical Jelly Roll Quilts, available here.
Skill level: confident beginner
Finished size: 60½" x 71½"
Fabric requirements:
- Ghost fabric: 20 Jelly Roll strips
- Black fabric for the eyes and mouths: 1/4 yard
- Colored prints for the backgrounds: 10 fat quarters at least 18" x 21"*
- Border: 3/4 yard
- Binding: 2/3 yard
- Backing (including 4" of overhang): 4 yards
- Batting size: 69" x 80"
*The cutting diagram in the pattern requires the full length and width of a fat quarter. Unless the fat quarters on hand are bigger than 18" x 21", having a few extra is recommended in case of a cutting error.
